The fifth art exhibition, organized by the Subharti Department of Fine Arts, has been inaugurated in Dehradun.

Dehradun: A special occasion has been presented for art lovers with the annual art exhibition, “Kala Varsha 2026,” which will be held from May 7th to May 11th, 2026, at Chitra International Art Gallery, Ballupur. It was inaugurated today, May 7th, by renowned Uttarakhand photographer, Mr. Raju Pushola. On this occasion, the chief guest was honored by Dr. Desh Deepak, Vice Chancellor of Subharti University, Dean Dr. Rita Tiwari, and Head of the Department Dr. Santosh Kumar, by presenting a flag, a bouquet, and a memento.

This fifth annual art exhibition, “Kala Varsha 2026,” will be a grand platform to showcase the creative talents of young and emerging artists.

This grand event is being organized by Dr. Mukti Bhatnagar, Subharti School of Fine Arts and Fashion Design, affiliated with Rash Behari Bose Subharti University, Dehradun.

This exhibition is dedicated to the late Sanghmata Dr. Mukti Bhatnagar.
Chief Guest Mr. Raju Pushola, in his message, stated that “Kala Varsha 2026” is an excellent platform for the creative development of Subharti Fine Arts students. After viewing the exhibition, he expressed that the work being done in the B.F.A. and M.F.A. classes is exceptional. He heartily encouraged the B.F.A. and M.F.A. students and the professors who guide them, saying, “This creative contribution by all of you is inspiring. Continue such efforts so that the standard of art education can be further elevated.”

In his message, Dr. Atul Krishna, Founder of Subharti University, stated that the “Kala Varsha” exhibition will foster artistry and creativity in children.
Subharti University Vice Chancellor Dr. Desh Deepak, while extending his heartfelt greetings, described “Kala Varsha 2026” as a vital event for the promotion of art. B.F.A. In an encouraging message to the B.A. and M.F.A. students and the professors who inspire them, he said, “This exhibition is a living testament to your artistic energy. Continue to foster such creative endeavors, which will spread the light of art to society and inspire new generations.”

Visitors to “Kala Varsha 2026” will witness a unique display of diverse colors, ideas, and expressions. As in previous years, a large number of art lovers, teachers, students, and renowned artists are expected to attend the exhibition, making it one of the city’s major cultural attractions.

Present on this occasion were Subharti University’s Assistant Director Academic, Mrs. Avani Kamal, Assistant Project Director, Dr. Lokesh Tyagi (GBCM), Registrar, Mr. Khalid Hasan, and Controller of Examinations, Dr. P.K. Sharma, Administrative Officer Dr. Ravindra Pratap, Academic Dean Dr. Manmohan Gupta, Principal of School of Fine Arts and Fashion Design, Head of Department of Fine Arts Department along with respected professors of the department Mrs. Geetika, Mr. Ayush, Mr. Manoj, Mr. Naman, Mr. Deepak, Mr. Ankush, Mrs. Shaifali, Mrs. Urvashi, Dr. Manu Gupta, Mr. Sha Rukh etc. were present.
