Today was the second day of the fifth art exhibition organized by the Subharti Department of Fine Arts in Dehradun.
Dehradun: “Kala Varsha 2026”, the annual art exhibition, brings a special opportunity for art lovers. It is being held at Chitra International Art Gallery, Ballupur, from 7th May to 11th May 2026.
National Award winner Shri Anas Sultan was today’s featured artist, who was felicitated by Dean Dr. Rita Tiwari and Head of Department Shri Santosh Kumar with a memento and ceremonial stole.

Today, students from various schools of Dehradun and Roorkee visited the exhibition and appreciated the paintings and fashion design works created by Subharti Fine Arts students. Alongside, artist Anas Sultan also gave a live and engaging portrait demonstration to the students of Subharti University. He carefully observed all the children’s work, explained their paintings and installations to them, and discussed how they can improve their work in the future.

This fifth annual art exhibition, “Kala Varsha 2026”, showcases the creative talent of young and emerging artists.
This exhibition is a must-visit for all residents of Dehradun and art lovers, as it has been curated by connecting multiple facets of society.
This grand event is being organized by Dr. Mukti Bhatnagar, Subharti School of Fine Arts and Fashion Design, affiliated with Ras Bihari Bose Subharti University, Dehradun.

The exhibition is dedicated to the late Sanghmata Dr. Mukti Bhatnagar.

On this occasion, Assistant Director (Academics) Smt. Avni Kamal said that such demonstrations provide children with a new environment to learn and understand new techniques and contemporary art trends, which infuses them with fresh energy.
Present on the occasion, along with the Dean and Head of Department of Subharti University, were the department’s esteemed faculty members: Smt. Geetika, Shri Ayush, Shri Manoj, Shri Naman, Shri Deepak, Shri Ankush, Smt. Shaifali, Smt. Urvashi, Dr. Manu Gupta, Shri Sha Rukh, and others.
