Dr. Lokesh Tyagi and Dr. Prashant Kumar Bhatnagar Share Insights on Public Awareness, Healthcare, and Social Responsibility

On the occasion of the death anniversary of Amar Shaheed Veer Kesari Chand, a grand tribute meeting and public awareness program was organized at Ramtal Garden in Kyawa village of the Chakrata region, his birthplace. The event witnessed a dignified presence of a large number of local public representatives, social workers, and residents, creating an atmosphere filled with patriotism and reverence.
Dr. Lokesh Tyagi, Principal and Dean of the Pharmacy College at Ras Bihari Bose Subharti University, Dehradun, and Dr. Prashant Kumar Bhatnagar, Head of Marketing,Publicity and Public Relationship at Subharti Hospital, Dehradun, attended the program as distinguished guests. Their presence added significant value and prestige to the occasion.
The program commenced with garlanding and floral tributes offered at the statue of Veer Kesari Chand. This was followed by a public gathering where speakers paid heartfelt homage to the martyr’s unparalleled courage, patriotism, and supreme sacrifice, urging people to draw inspiration from his life.
In his address, Dr. Lokesh Tyagi remembered Veer Kesari Chand as a brave soldier of the freedom struggle and a committed member of the Azad Hind Fauj, who embraced martyrdom while fighting against British rule. He paid his respectful tributes and emphasized that the sacrifices of such great heroes form the foundation of India’s freedom.
He further informed that the Pharmacy College at Ras Bihari Bose Subharti University, Dehradun, has been named in the sacred memory of Veer Kesari Chand, as a tribute aimed at keeping his legacy alive. He encouraged the youth to imbibe the values of sacrifice, courage, and dedication towards nation-building.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Prashant Kumar Bhatnagar elaborated on the various healthcare services, public welfare initiatives, and social programs being conducted by Subharti Hospital and the university. He highlighted that the core mission of the Subharti group is to provide affordable, accessible, and quality healthcare services to the last person in society.
He reiterated the institution’s commitment to expanding healthcare access in rural and remote areas and emphasized that Subharti Hospital continues to work tirelessly to ensure better medical facilities for all sections of society.
On this occasion, speakers also appreciated the inspiring personality, visionary leadership, and remarkable contributions of Dr. Atul Krishna, founder of the Subharti group, in the fields of education and healthcare. It was noted that under his guidance, the institution is consistently working with dedication for the underprivileged and marginalized sections, promoting the core values of service, education, and values.
During the program, an announcement was made regarding the organization of a two-day free health camp in the area in the near future. It was also informed that patients referred by the committee would be provided treatment at concessional rates at Subharti Hospital.
The event concluded with a collective resolve to uphold the ideals of the martyr and to contribute towards positive social transformation, with participants reaffirming their commitment to follow the path shown by Veer Kesari Chand.
