NEET UG 2025 Exam  : The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the NEET (UG) 2025 examination on May 4 across 5,453 centres in India and 13 international cities, the agency announced on Saturday.

Amid rising concerns over misinformation, the NTA has launched a crackdown on fake content related to the exam. Action has been taken against more than 165 Telegram channels and 32 Instagram accounts allegedly spreading false claims and misleading students about the NEET (UG) 2025 question paper and admissions process.

In an official advisory, the NTA urged students to stay away from unverified sources and not to fall prey to individuals or groups claiming to have influence over the exam or admission outcomes. “Students are advised to rely only on official communications available on the NTA website,” the statement said.

NTA also said that all preparations for the safe and secure conduct of the examination have been completed, with state governments across the country placed on high alert.

The strong security push comes in the aftermath of the NEET-UG 2024 controversy, which saw allegations of paper leaks, inflated marks, and legal battles over grace marks, prompting widespread protests and court scrutiny.

This year, the NTA has taken “all measures” to ensure the integrity of the exam. Candidates will undergo thorough checks by district police, in addition to NTA’s standard security protocols, before entering exam centres. Question papers and OMR sheets will be transported under full police protection to prevent any tampering or leaks. Authorities will closely monitor coaching centres and online platforms to prevent organized cheating networks. Exam centres will be equipped with CCTV cameras to ensure transparency and accountability.
