NEET-PG 2025 : The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has officially postponed the NEET PG 2025 examination, earlier scheduled for June 15. In a notice dated June 2, 2025, NBEMS stated that the decision was taken to allow more time for arranging additional test centres and necessary infrastructure to comply with the Supreme Court’s directive to conduct the exam in a single shift.
The postponement comes in the wake of the Supreme Court’s order dated May 30, 2025, which emphasised the need for fairness and uniformity by conducting NEET PG in a single shift across the country. Responding to this, NBEMS clarified that executing the exam in such a format requires significant logistical arrangements, including expanding the number of test centres to accommodate all candidates simultaneously.

“As stated in NBEMS notice dated 02.06.2025, the NEET-PG 2025 scheduled to be held on 15.06.2025 needs to be postponed to arrange for more test centres and required infrastructure,” the Board said. It further added that the revised date for NEET PG 2025 will be announced only after obtaining necessary approval from the Supreme Court.
This clarification puts to rest speculation about whether the exam would go ahead on its earlier date. The Board has assured candidates that updates regarding the new schedule will be issued in due course through official portals — natboard.edu.in and nbe.edu.in.
Candidates preparing for the exam are advised to stay alert for official communications and to continue their preparation with the revised schedule in mind. The change, although unexpected, is being positioned as a step towards ensuring greater transparency and equal opportunity for all aspirants.
