Ras Bihari Bose Subharti University, Dehradun, successfully organized the “CPR Awareness Campaign 2025” at the auditorium of Lal Bahadur Shastri Lokpriya Hospital. The program served as a vibrant example of the university’s creativity, social responsibility, and practical approach to medical education. The aim of the event was to create awareness among the general public about life-saving measures like Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
The program commenced at 11 a.m. with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, filling the auditorium with an atmosphere of positivity and inspiration. Thereafter, Prof. Dr. Himanshu Aeran, Vice Chancellor of Ras Bihari Bose Subharti University, delivered the welcome address and elaborated on the importance of CPR. He said —
“CPR is not merely a medical technique; it is the science of giving life. If every person in society learns it, countless lives can be saved. Education becomes meaningful only when it becomes a medium of service. This is the goal of Subharti University — to make every student socially sensitive.”
Following the lamp-lighting ceremony, a felicitation session was held to honor distinguished guests and speakers whose contributions made this campaign truly inspiring. Subsequently, nursing students presented a powerful thematic skit showcasing the critical importance of performing CPR promptly during emergencies — a performance that received immense appreciation from the audience.

administered the pledge to all attendees to spread awareness of CPR knowledge throughout society.
Dr. Aastha Srivastava, Associate Professor, Gautam Buddha Medical College, conducted a live CPR demonstration, explaining the practical methods of chest compressions, airway management, and rescue breathing.
The overall coordination and management of the program were exceptionally handled under the leadership of Prof. and Dean, Student Welfare, Mrs. Neetika Kaushal, whose contribution was especially commendable. Under her guidance, the Faculty of Nursing provided excellent support in training students and executing the event.
Ms. Vanshika, through her energetic and confident anchoring, kept the entire event lively and engaging, while in the valedictory session, Ms. Anamika delivered a heartfelt vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all guests, organizers, and participants.
The event symbolized Subharti University’s visionary approach, which believes in connecting education with social service. The university not only imparts knowledge but also nurtures a sense of responsibility, empathy, and social welfare among its students.
