Academic Dialogue with the Director of the University On Wednesday, an important academic meeting and interactive session was organized by Ras Bihari Bose Subharti University at the New Auditorium, Popular Hospital, Dehradun, with Madam Catherine Caras, Director of the University of Grenoble, France. The objective of the programme was to strengthen academic collaboration with foreign universities, discuss global higher education opportunities, and motivate students to pursue higher studies at the international level.

The programme began with a formal meeting between the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor of the University, Professor Dr. Himanshu Aeran, and Madam Catherine Caras. This was followed by a welcome address introducing the guest and highlighting the academic achievements and international reputation of the University of Grenoble. The event was formally inaugurated with the traditional lighting of the ceremonial lamp.

Addressing the gathering, Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Himanshu Aeran said, “In today’s time, collaboration with international universities in the fields of education and research has become extremely important. Such cooperation provides students with opportunities to progress at the global level, engage in quality research, and work with new ideas.” He encouraged students to focus on academics along with research, innovation, and a global outlook.
On this occasion, Madam Catherine Caras was formally felicitated by the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor. Mr. Haru Mehra shared his views on the importance and benefits of academic partnerships with foreign universities. The programme outline and details were presented by Ms. Vaishali.

In her address, Madam Catherine Caras motivated students to explore opportunities for higher education abroad, take interest in research activities, and move forward with confidence on international platforms. Her views were widely appreciated by students and faculty members.
During the programme, Dean Academics Professor Dr. Manmohan Gupta also shared his thoughts, stating that such academic dialogues broaden students’ perspectives and enhance the quality of education.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Imran, Dean of the Faculty of Arts. He expressed gratitude to all the guests, speakers, and organizers. The event was smoothly conducted by Midat Aslam. On this occasion, Mr. Vinay Semwal, Secretary of the Culture Department, Mr. Raman Krishna Kimothi, member of the Culture Department, along with university officials, faculty members, and a large number of students were present. The programme was described as academically successful and highly beneficial.
