Dehradun, September 30, 2025.
A grand programme on the theme “Swasth Nari, Sashakt Nari” was organized at Ras Bihari Bose Subharti University, Dehradun, as a significant part of the ongoing series of “Seva Pakwada 2025.” The event highlighted women’s upliftment, self-reliance, and innovation as its core focus.

The event was inaugurated with the ceremonial lamp lighting by Mrs. Kusum Kandpal, Chairperson, Uttarakhand Women Commission, who attended as the Chief Guest. In her address, she lauded the university’s meaningful initiative and remarked, “The true path of social progress lies in women’s self-confidence and their empowered contribution.”
Presiding over the event, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Himanshu Aeran, delivered a spirited and visionary address on women empowerment. He said –

“The foundation of a strong society can only be laid by a strong woman. Today’s era belongs to Artificial Intelligence, and if women learn to use this technology positively, they will not only secure their own future but also shape a safer and stronger tomorrow for the coming generations.”
His inspiring words became the soul of the programme and were met with resounding applause.
Clinical Psychologist Ms. Samvedna Shukla presented deep insights on gender gaps and mental health. She stated –
“The gap between boys and girls is merely a gap of opportunities and perspectives. If society bridges this divide, our future generations will be more sensitive and just.”

Her thought-provoking words compelled the audience to self-reflect.
Young entrepreneur Mr. Vinamra Aeran motivated the youth towards entrepreneurship and exploration. His address was both informative and inspiring. He also organized AI-based quiz activities, which saw enthusiastic participation from students. His lively presentation infused energy into the entire atmosphere.

Mr. Abhishek delivered a practical session on self-defense, encouraging women to make confidence their strongest weapon. He, along with his team, presented a live and impactful demonstration of self-defense techniques.
On this occasion, Major General Dr. G.K. Thapliyal also shared his views on women empowerment, emphasizing that women today are not behind in any field and must be given equal opportunities.

The event witnessed the gracious presence of the Pro Vice Chancellor, Registrar, Deans, Principals, HoDs, HoIs, faculty members, and students from all departments. The vote of thanks was proposed by Ms. Vanshika.
The programme’s success was credited to the remarkable contribution of Dean Student Welfare, Ms. Neetika Kaushal, while Ms. Lufina from the Nursing College enhanced the grace of the event through her charming style and proficient anchoring.
