At the exhibition, children from several schools gained knowledge of fashion designing along with the paintings created by Subharti Fine Arts artists.
Dehradun: Today marked the third day of the fifth art exhibition “Kala Varsha 2026”, organized by the Subharti Department of Fine Arts in Dehradun.
For art lovers of Dehradun, the annual art exhibition “Kala Varsha 2026” brings a special opportunity. It is being held at Chitra International Art Gallery, Ballupur, from 7th May to 11th May 2026.

The chief guest of today’s exhibition was Ms. Sumit Kaur, who was felicitated by Dean Dr. Rita Tiwari and Head of Department Dr. Santosh Kumar with a memento and ceremonial stole.
Today, students of Rainbow Children’s Academy visited the exhibition and appreciated the paintings and fashion design works of Subharti Fine Arts students. On this occasion, artist Ms. Sumit Kaur also gave a live demonstration of fabric painting to the students of Subharti University. She carefully observed all the children’s work, explained their paintings and installations, and discussed with them how fabric painting and other new materials can be used in the future.
This fifth annual art exhibition, “Kala Varsha 2026”, showcases the creative talent of young and emerging artists. This exhibition is a must-visit for all residents of Dehradun and art lovers, as it has been curated by integrating multiple facets of society.

This grand event is being organized by Dr. Mukti Bhatnagar, Subharti School of Fine Arts and Fashion Design, affiliated with Ras Bihari Bose Subharti University, Dehradun. The exhibition is dedicated to the late Sanghmata Dr. Mukti Bhatnagar.

On this occasion, Assistant Director (Academics) Ms. Avni Kamal said that such live demonstrations provide children with a new environment to learn and understand emerging techniques and contemporary art trends, which instills fresh energy in them.

Present on the occasion, along with the Dean and Academic Head of the Department from Subharti University, were the department’s esteemed faculty members: Geetika, Ayush, Manoj, Naman Paul, Deepak, Ankush, Shailaphali, Urvashi, Dr. Manu Sharma, Sha Rukh, among others.
