NEET PG Counselling 2026 Round 1: College Reporting, Documents and Allotment Letter Guide

Posted on October 26, 2026October 26, 2026 By neet bulletin No Comments on NEET PG Counselling 2026 Round 1: College Reporting, Documents and Allotment Letter Guide

After a Round 1 seat is allotted, candidates should not begin their journey based on an old timetable, an unofficial message or a general estimate. First, check the latest counselling schedule and reporting instructions published by the relevant official authority. Dates, procedures and required actions may be revised, so the current official notice takes precedence over general guidance or information shared elsewhere.

Open the official allotment result and counselling portal, ( NEET PG ) then confirm every detail carefully: the allotted institute, course or specialty, category and reporting deadline. Check that the candidate information and allotment details match the application and result records. Save or download the allotment letter and keep the relevant seat information accessible, both digitally and in a form that can be shown during reporting. If any detail appears incorrect, do not assume it is a harmless typographical issue; contact the counselling authority promptly through contact details listed on its verified website.

Next, review the assigned college’s own reporting notice. The college may provide practical instructions not fully covered in the central schedule, including the exact campus location or office, reporting hours, whether appointments are required, and how queues or document checks are organized. Read any instructions about fees or deposits, including accepted payment methods, and note additional forms or requirements specified by the institute. Use official college channels to confirm details when the notice is unclear. Avoid relying on unverified phone numbers, social media posts or third-party claims.

Plan travel so that you can complete reporting by the stated deadline, allowing time for delays and document verification. Keep the allotment letter and relevant instructions available, and follow the authority’s directions on what to bring and what steps to complete. If the portal, allotment result and college notice seem inconsistent, seek clarification from the counselling authority or institute using verified contact channels before acting. Do not rely on assumptions to resolve a discrepancy. Requirements and dates can change during counselling; therefore, check official notices again shortly before travelling and follow the latest applicable instructions.

Before travelling for physical verification, compare this checklist with the current official NEET PG 2026 counselling notice and the instructions issued by your allotted college. Document requirements, accepted formats, verification procedures and reporting deadlines can vary, so follow the latest directions rather than relying only on a general list.

Keep the downloaded allotment letter and the NEET PG 2026 admit card ready. Carry your scorecard or other documents showing your score and rank if requested. The academic records commonly needed include your MBBS degree certificate or provisional pass certificate, mark sheets for all applicable professional examinations, and an internship completion certificate. If your internship is still underway, bring acceptable proof that it will be completed by the date specified in the applicable rules.

Also carry your permanent or provisional medical registration certificate, a valid identity document, and recent passport-size photographs. Bring separate proof of date of birth if the college or notice requires it. Candidates claiming a category, PwD, EWS or other reservation benefit should carry the relevant certificate only where applicable. Check its prescribed format, issuing authority and validity requirements carefully; an otherwise genuine certificate may not be accepted if it does not meet the current rules.

Take the originals of all required documents for verification, along with several sets of self-attested photocopies. Keep fee-payment receipts or other payment evidence accessible, and include any undertaking, declaration or affidavit specified by the counselling authority or college. Organising documents in the order stated in the reporting instructions can make verification easier, but do not omit records simply because they are not listed in a suggested sequence.

Review names, dates of birth and other key details across your application, identity proof and academic records before reporting. If you find a spelling difference, missing detail or other mismatch, contact the relevant authority or college promptly and ask what supporting records are acceptable. Carry those records, such as a legally issued name-change document where relevant, and do not assume that an explanation alone will resolve a discrepancy at the verification desk.

To access the NEET PG Round 1 allotment letter, begin at the official website of the counselling authority responsible for your seat allocation. Use a trusted browser and enter the website address directly, rather than following links shared through messages or unfamiliar websites. From the homepage, move to the counselling or candidate login area. Sign in with the credentials requested by the portal, such as your application or registration number and password. Keep these details private and do not share them with agents or other individuals. If the portal requires an additional verification step, complete it through the official page before continuing to your account.

After signing in, look for the Round 1 allotment, result or seat allocation section. Portal wording and page layouts can change, so follow the current official instructions rather than expecting a particular button name. Open the relevant result and select the available option to view or download your allotment letter. Save the PDF to a secure device or storage location, using a clear file name that you can find easily. Check that the file opens and that every page is legible. Keep a digital copy and print several copies for college reporting, while retaining the original electronic file for your records.

Before travelling to the allotted college, review the letter carefully. Confirm that your name and candidate identifiers are correct, and verify the allotted college, course, category or quota details. Read all reporting instructions, including the stated deadline, venue, required documents and any actions you must complete before arrival. If the letter is unavailable, appears incorrect or will not download, check official announcements and the portal’s current status first. You may retry later, as temporary maintenance or heavy traffic can interrupt access. If the issue continues, contact the counselling authority’s official helpdesk using contact details published on its website. Avoid unofficial links, and never disclose your login credentials or verification codes to anyone claiming they can retrieve the letter for you.

Once a Round 1 seat has been allotted, check the official counselling notice and the allotted college’s instructions for the reporting location, dates, working hours and any appointment or online pre-reporting requirements. Arrive within the stated window; late arrival or failure to complete the required steps may affect the seat under the applicable rules. Carry the allotment letter and every original document specified in the notice, including identity, qualification, internship, registration, category or eligibility certificates where relevant. Keep accessible copies as well, but do not assume copies can replace originals.

At the college, follow the designated admission sequence. Staff will generally compare your identity and credentials with the counselling record and verify eligibility against the applicable requirements. Respond promptly to any discrepancy or request for clarification. Submit the prescribed copies, completed admission forms, declarations and other required paperwork, ensuring that names, dates and details are accurate and consistent. Before handing over originals, ask which documents the college will retain, why they are needed, and the process and timing for their return. Keep a record of any originals held by the institution.

Pay the prescribed admission or tuition fees using a method accepted by the college and retain the payment receipt. Before leaving, obtain written confirmation that admission or joining has been completed, along with any reporting acknowledgement or further instructions. Keep copies of submitted forms, declarations, receipts, the allotment letter and relevant communications in a secure place. Confirm that the college has recorded your joining correctly and note any outstanding requirement and its deadline.

Before accepting, joining, declining or later seeking resignation, read the seat-acceptance, reporting and withdrawal rules in the current counselling scheme and round-specific notice.(NEET PG ) Options and consequences—including eligibility for later rounds, forfeiture or penalties—can vary, so do not rely on assumptions or informal advice. Monitor official updates throughout the process. If a document is missing, an eligibility concern arises, or instructions conflict, contact the designated counselling authority and college immediately, seek written guidance where possible, and act well before the deadline.
