Rajasthan NEET UG Counselling 2026 Round 3: 2,529 Seats Allocated and Next Steps for Candidates

Posted on October 12, 2026 By Ankita Singh No Comments on Rajasthan NEET UG Counselling 2026 Round 3: 2,529 Seats Allocated and Next Steps for Candidates

The Rajasthan NEET UG Counselling 2026 Round 3 result marks an important stage for candidates seeking admission to undergraduate medical and dental programmes in the state. According to the counselling update, 2,529 MBBS and/or BDS seats have been allotted to eligible candidates in this round. The allotment provides candidates with a provisional indication of the course and institution available to them, subject to the completion of the remaining admission requirements.

Rajasthan’s Round 3 seat allocation is determined through several factors rather than preference alone. These include the candidate’s NEET UG 2026 rank, submitted course and college choices, applicable category, reservation provisions, domicile eligibility, seat availability, and the counselling policies issued by the competent state authority. As a result, the allotted college or programme may differ from a candidate’s highest preference, depending on merit, eligibility, and the availability of seats when the allocation is processed.

Candidates should also understand that a seat allotment result does not, by itself, confirm final admission. Those allotted a seat must download the allotment letter from the official counselling portal and carefully follow the reporting schedule and instructions. They may need to report to the designated college or authority, complete document verification, pay the prescribed tuition or admission fees, and submit any additional undertaking or certificate required under the applicable rules. Failure to meet a deadline or satisfy an eligibility condition may lead to cancellation of the allotment.

NEET UG  The figure of 2,529 seats should therefore be treated as the overall allotment reported for Round 3, not as a complete course-wise or college-wise admission list. Candidates should consult the official Rajasthan counselling notification, seat matrix, allotment letter, and notices for the precise distribution across MBBS and BDS programmes, participating colleges, and categories. Official instructions should take precedence over summaries or unofficial updates, particularly where reporting dates, fee payment, eligibility conditions, and subsequent admission steps are concerned.

Candidates can check the Rajasthan NEET UG Counselling 2026 Round 3 seat allotment result through the official counselling portal. Begin by opening the website of the designated Rajasthan NEET UG counselling authority. Avoid relying on links shared through social media, messaging groups, or unofficial education websites, as these may be outdated or unsafe.

On the homepage, look for the notification labelled “Round 3 Seat Allotment Result,” “Allotment Letter,” or “Candidate Login.” Select the relevant link and enter the credentials requested by the portal. These may include the application number, NEET UG roll number or other examination details, date of birth, password, and the displayed security code. Enter the information carefully, because repeated incorrect attempts could temporarily restrict access. After logging in, open the allotment result and download both the result page and the provisional allotment letter.

Candidates should save several digital copies of these documents in secure locations, such as a computer, cloud storage account, or personal email. Printing multiple copies is also advisable because the allotment letter and result may be required during reporting, document verification, fee payment, or admission formalities.

After downloading the documents, check every detail carefully. Confirm the candidate’s name, NEET UG rank, category, allotted college, course, and reporting venue or institution. The document should also be reviewed for fee-payment instructions, the admission or reporting deadline, required documents, and any conditions attached to the allotment. A discrepancy should not be ignored, particularly if it affects the college, course, category, or eligibility status.

If the result is not accessible, candidates should first refresh the official portal, try a supported browser, clear the browser cache, and check whether the authority has issued a revised schedule or technical notice. They should not share passwords, application numbers, or one-time verification details with others. If the issue continues, contact the counselling help desk using the contact details published on the official website. The same channel should be used to report an apparent error in the allotment result and obtain instructions before the deadline.

After a Round 3 seat allotment, candidates should first read the official Rajasthan NEET UG counselling notice, allotment result, and instructions for their category. The available choices depend on the applicable rules and may include accepting the allotted seat and completing admission, exercising an authorised upgrade option, or participating in a later phase if the counselling authority permits it. Candidates should not assume that failing to report automatically preserves eligibility for another round. Non-reporting may lead to cancellation of the allotment, forfeiture of fees, or exclusion from subsequent phases.

Candidates who intend to join should pay the prescribed tuition, admission, or security fee within the stated deadline and report to the allotted college through the required online or physical process. They may need to complete document verification, submit original certificates for inspection or deposit, undergo medical fitness formalities, and finish the college’s admission paperwork. The candidate should obtain a payment receipt, verification acknowledgement, and written confirmation of admission wherever available. If an upgrade or exit option is offered, its conditions should be reviewed carefully before selection, particularly rules concerning retention of the existing seat, fee adjustment, withdrawal, and forfeiture.

The documents commonly requested include the NEET UG admit card and scorecard, allotment letter, submitted counselling application form, valid identity proof, Class 10 certificate, Class 12 certificate or marksheet, transfer certificate, and migration certificate where applicable. Candidates may also need a Rajasthan domicile certificate, category or EWS certificate, disability certificate if relevant, recent passport-size photographs, medical fitness documents, and prescribed undertakings or affidavits. Original documents, photocopies, and digital copies should be prepared according to the college’s instructions.

Before reporting, candidates should verify that every certificate is valid on the relevant date and that names, dates of birth, and category details match across records. They should also check the reporting schedule, fee-refund and withdrawal provisions, and the precise consequences of missing a deadline. Where circumstances prevent timely reporting, contacting the official counselling authority and the allotted college promptly is safer than relying on informal advice or assuming that the seat will remain available.

The Round 3 outcome has different implications for different groups of candidates. Those who received a seat should treat the allotment as an opportunity that still requires careful verification, rather than relying only on the college name or course title. Before completing admission, candidates should compare the assigned institution, programme, fee structure, location, bond conditions, service obligations, hostel availability, facilities, and recognition status. They should also confirm reporting dates, required documents, payment instructions, and whether accepting the seat affects eligibility for any later upgrade.

Candidates who were not allotted a seat should not assume that the counselling process has ended. Vacancies can arise when an allotted candidate does not report, resigns after admission, receives an upgrade, fails to meet eligibility requirements, or does not complete payment and documentation within the prescribed period. However, the possibility of another round, a stray vacancy process, or a revised allotment depends entirely on official notifications. No candidate should rely on social media messages, unofficial lists, or verbal assurances from intermediaries.

NEET UG  Unallotted candidates should monitor the counselling authority’s website regularly and check every notice, schedule, seat matrix, and admission instruction. They should confirm whether fresh registration, fee payment, or submission of new choices will be required for any subsequent process. It is equally important to review the rules governing newly available seats, including eligibility conditions, category requirements, choice-editing provisions, and reporting obligations. A previous registration or choice list may not automatically carry forward.

Every candidate should preserve payment receipts, application records, allotment letters, submitted forms, and official correspondence. Follow only published deadlines, read the seat matrix and admission notice carefully, and avoid paying money to agents or other intermediaries. Before making an irreversible decision, seek clarification directly from the counselling authority or the concerned college, preferably through an official email address or helpline. These precautions can help candidates distinguish a valid opportunity from an unverified claim and complete admission without avoidable financial or procedural risk.
