On the occasion of the 69th birth anniversary of Sanghmata Late Dr. Mukti Bhatnagar, a dignified memorial, tribute, and cultural समारोह was solemnly organized at the Dr. Mukti Bhatnagar Subharti School of Fine Arts and Fashion Design, Ras Bihari Bose Subharti University, Dehradun, under the aegis of the MTV Buddhist Religious and Charitable Trust.
The event witnessed the gracious presence of eminent personalities from the fields of education, art, culture, and social service, along with scholars, artists, and a large number of students.

The programme commenced with a welcome address by the Head of the Department, Mr. Santosh Kumar, followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, floral tributes, and the invocation of Saraswati Vandana. A Kathak-style Ganesh Vandana infused the atmosphere with profound spiritual and cultural resonance.
Highlighting the role, achievements, and significance of fine arts education, Dean Dr. Rita Tiwari remarked that the institution perceives art not merely as an academic discipline, but as a powerful medium of social consciousness. Reflecting on the life, disciplined personality, commitment to education, devotion to art, and deep social concerns of Late Dr. Mukti Bhatnagar, Dr. Krishna Murthy delivered a deeply moving and thoughtful address, describing her as a sensitive, visionary, and guiding force for society.

On this occasion, the IT Department presented a special commemorative video dedicated to Late Dr. Mukti Bhatnagar, which was received with heartfelt emotion and appreciation by the audience. This was followed by a soulful Ram Bhajan rendered by Mr. Shah Rukh, filling the hall with devotion and reverence.
The Chief Guest, Mr. Ram Krishna Goyal, Uttarakhand Ratna awardee and senior master photographer, paid homage to Late Dr. Mukti Bhatnagar, stating that her life was an extraordinary confluence of art, compassion, and service. He emphasized that such personalities not only guide society but also bestow enduring values and vision upon future generations.
In his address, the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Himanshu Airan described Late Dr. Mukti Bhatnagar as a powerful embodiment of knowledge, sensitivity, and human values. With deep emotion, he observed that the true purpose of education is to shape better human beings, and that her entire life stood as a living testament to this philosophy.
The Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Shalya Raj, also lauded her as a strong torchbearer of art and human consciousness and appreciated the significance of the आयोजन.

The role of the MTV Buddhist Religious and Charitable Trust was particularly impactful. The Trust’s President, Dr. Atul Krishna, in his inspiring address, described Late Dr. Mukti Bhatnagar’s life as a living example of service, sacrifice, social awareness, and women empowerment. He noted that she devoted her entire life to education, art, and the upliftment of the marginalized. Dr. Atul Krishna further stated that the Trust continues to actively translate her ideals into practice by working steadfastly in the fields of social harmony and humanitarian service.
While outlining the structure and activities of the Trust, it was shared that Dr. Shalya Raj, Dr. Rohit Ravinder, Dr. Krishna Murthy (Secretary), Dr. Akanksha Singh, and Ms. Avni Kamal are jointly advancing the Trust’s social, religious, and philanthropic initiatives with a spirit of service, ideological commitment, and familial unity.
The programme was gracefully anchored by Ms. Kajal Prajapati, and the vote of thanks was presented by the Pro Vice-Chancellor Dr. Desh Deepak. Subsequently, the unveiling of the statue of Late Dr. Mukti Bhatnagar took place—an intensely emotional and inspiring moment for all present.
The inauguration of an art exhibition followed, where the creative works of students drew widespread admiration. The event concluded with a High Tea.
On this occasion, Dr. Rajesh Tiwari (President, Culture Department), Mr. Vinay (Secretary), university officials, faculty members, and a large number of students were present. The programme was widely appreciated as a remarkable success from both academic and cultural perspectives.
Special appreciation was extended for the contributions of Geetika Sharma, Manoj Anand, Deepak, Ankush, Ayush, Badre Alam, Manu Sharma, and Shah Rukh, whose efforts played a vital role in the successful conduct of the event.
