Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Desh Deepak highlighted youth’s role in nation-building; Lieutenant Sandeep Monga emphasized “Unity and Discipline”

Message of Nationhood on Subharti Day A grand and dignified celebration of Subharti Day was held at Ras Bihari Bose Subharti University, Dehradun, under the “Rashtrabodh” lecture series on the theme “National Unity, Respect for Teachers, Women and Saints, Dignity of Labour, and Work Culture.” The event, organized at Lalitaditya Auditorium, witnessed an inspiring blend of patriotism, discipline, and cultural consciousness, with enthusiastic participation from students, faculty members, and distinguished guests.

The program was organised in line with the inspirational vision of Founder and Chairman Dr. Atul Krishna, “From National Consciousness to Patriotism.” Its objective was to instill a deep sense of patriotism, duty, discipline, and respect for Indian cultural values among the youth.
At the beginning of the program, Director of Lokpriya Hospital Dr. Jeevan Asha, Dean Academics Prof. Manmohan Gupta, and Cultural Department Secretary Mr. Vinay Semwal felicitated the special guest speaker, Lieutenant Sandeep Monga, with a ceremonial shawl and memento.
In his message, Vice-Chancellor Dr. Desh Deepak stated that the responsibility for the nation’s unity, security, and prosperity rests on the shoulders of the youth. He emphasized that respect for labour, discipline, and an excellent work culture form the foundation of a strong nation. He urged students to shape their lives according to the highest ideals of national service and become responsible, sensitive, and aware citizens.
Special guest speaker Lieutenant Sandeep Monga (National Cadet Corps) influenced the audience in his address, encouraging them to imbibe the NCC motto “Unity and Discipline.” He motivated the youth to prioritize national interest, adopt a disciplined lifestyle, respect labour, and develop an excellent work culture.
In the lecture series, university speakers Anamika Kandari, Dr. Ram Niwas Deshwal, Dr. Narendra, and Mrs. Richa Pundir delivered detailed and insightful lectures on various aspects of the theme. Sessions held across different lecture halls effectively highlighted the importance of national unity, social harmony, and cultural values.
At the conclusion, Cultural Department member Mr. Raman Krishna Kimothi presented the vote of thanks. The program concluded on a patriotic note with the rendition of the “Azad Hind Song.” On this occasion, Cultural Secretary Mr. Vinay Semwal, Dean Academics Prof. Manmohan Gupta, faculty members from various departments, and a large number of students were present.
The event proved to be an inspiring platform that reinforced the values of patriotism, national unity, social respect, and Indian culture, while instilling renewed energy among students to lead a life of service and responsibility toward the nation.
