Dehradun, September 27, 2025.
With the spirit of “Service is Resolution and Nation First is Inspiration”, a Health Service Fortnight is being organized from September 17 to October 2, 2025, by Lal Bahadur Shastri Lokpriya Hospital and Ras Bihari Bose Subharti University, dedicated to the 75th birthday of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji.
The most significant phase of this campaign is being held from September 26 to 29, featuring free screenings, prevention programs, and awareness sessions on cervical and breast cancer. These cancer awareness camps are being led by Dr. Jeevan Asha Chandra, Director of Lal Bahadur Shastri Lokpriya Hospital.
Prof. Dr. Himanshu Aeran, Vice Chancellor of Ras Bihari Bose Subharti University, in his inspiring message, stated:
“Subharti University is not merely a center of education but a torchbearer of social and national service. Seva Pakhwada is an opportunity for us to take health and awareness to every household. Women are the backbone of society, and timely detection of serious diseases like cancer is essential to safeguard their lives and those of their families. Subharti is committed to staying at the forefront of every initiative related to health education, public awareness, and community service.”
Dr. Aeran further emphasized that the university strives to ensure that its students and faculty excel not only in academics but also play a leading role in community welfare.
Dr. Jeevan Asha Chandra, Director of Lal Bahadur Shastri Lokpriya Hospital, said:
“Our hospital is not just a treatment center but also a medium of community service and public awareness. Timely detection and prevention of women’s health issues form the foundation of a healthy society. It is our social responsibility to provide free and quality healthcare to every section of society.”
Mrs. Nitika Kaushal, Dean of Student Welfare at Ras Bihari Bose Subharti University, remarked:
“The role of our nursing staff in this campaign is truly inspirational. They are not only delivering medical services but also spreading health awareness with empathy and compassion. This spirit of service truly reflects the real purpose of Seva Pakhwada.”
This health camp is free of cost for the general public. The organizing committee has urged all citizens to bring their Aadhaar card, Ayushman card, and identity proof to avail themselves of these services.
This initiative is not just a health campaign but a message of national service — “When women are healthy, families are strong, and the nation becomes prosperous.”
