Three Eminent world personalities awaken consciousness of students on environment and global governance

Lucknow, 17 November : Three eminent world renowned environmentalists and economists – Dr Augusto Lopez-Claros, international economist, Dr Arthur Lyon Dahl, President, International Environment Forum and Dr Joshua Lincoln, Senior Fellow at the Centre for International Law and Governance at the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Tufts University are on a four day educational visit in Lucknow. The educational trip has been organized jointly under the aegis of City Montessori School, Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow and Hoerner College from 16 to 19 November 2022.The visit aims at spreading awareness among the youth and students regarding issues of global importance like climate change, global warming, global governance and sustainable development etc. These eminent personalities held meaningful discussions on global issues and interacted freely with senior section students at various campuses of CMS. Besides this, they also visited and held discussions on global governance at Hoerner College and IIM, Lucknow.
Addressing the students at CMS Kanpur Road Campus here today, the environmental experts said in one voice that they were highly impressed with the CMS Campaign for world unity, balanced education, global and scientific approach to education. CMS is spreading education of world citizenship across the borders and creating an atmosphere of global harmony and world peace, they said. The new 21st century education must rise above petty differences of race, caste, creed and colour and embrace all humanity as one unit. CMS President, Prof. Geeta Gandhi Kingdon said that seeing the drastic changes in the world today, the 21st century education should widen the child’s horizon and make him rise above narrow differences to embrace a world view of things as a global citizen and a visionary leader.
