104 Donors Strengthen Subharti’s Tradition of Service
Dehradun, September 20.
Under the “Healthy Women – Empowered Families” campaign and Health Fortnight, a grand blood donation camp was organized at the Subharti Hospital campus in Jhajhra under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Himanshu Aeran, Vice Chancellor of Ras Bihari Bose Subharti University. The camp was jointly conducted by Gautam Buddha Medical College and Narayan Swami College of Nursing, and witnessed enthusiastic participation from hundreds of students and staff who came forward to donate blood.

The camp was inaugurated by Dr. Anil Mehta, Principal of Gautam Buddha Medical College; Dr. Roop Hanspal, Vice Principal; and Dr. Rahul Shukla, Medical Superintendent of Subharti Hospital.

On this occasion, Prof. Dr. Himanshu Aeran conveyed a powerful message, stating: “Blood donation is the greatest donation, for it is the most sacred act of saving a life. Subharti University has always worked on the guiding principles of ‘Education – Service – Values – Nationalism,’ and this camp has once again reinforced these ideals.”
Highlighting the importance of every donor, he further remarked, “Each blood donor becomes the savior of an unknown life – and that is the truest form of social service.”
The camp was conducted under the active guidance of Dr. Neha Nautiyal, In-charge of the Subharti Blood Bank; Dr. Lokesh Tyagi, Assistant Project Director; and Dr. Prashant Kumar Bhatnagar, Head of Public Relations and Media. The technical team included Mr. Vipin Ujjwal, Mr. Rajesh, Mr. Nandan, Mr. Azhar, and Mr. Nirmal, while the nursing staff—Mrs. Soni Singh, Counselor Mrs. Rakhi Chhetri, Mr. Sagar, and Mr. Mohd. Arif—played an equally vital role.
A total of 104 donors registered for blood donation, reflecting the collective commitment of the Subharti family. Among the notable contributors were Mrs. Nikita from the Nursing College, Dr. Vivek Bharose, Head of the Pathology Department; Dr. Lalji Asthana, Chief Warden; and Senior Supervisory Officer Mr. Jitendra Tyagi.
Through this event, Dr. Atul Krishna, Founder of the Subharti Group, emphasized that education is not merely a means of acquiring knowledge, but also a medium to fulfill responsibilities towards society and the nation. Subharti University, under this vision, continues to play a leading role not only in higher education but also in fostering social responsibility and human values.
