Lucknow, April 29 : The two-day Inter-school Roller Skating Championship being organized by City Montessori School, Rajajipuram campus II began today at CMS Kanpur Road campus premises. CMS Founder, Dr Jagdish Gandhi inaugurated the championship by lighting the lamp. Addressing the participants on the occasion, Dr Gandhi said that both academics and sports are equally important for the overall development of children. CMS President & MD, Prof Geeta Gandhi Kindon also motivated the participants to perform well.

On the first day of the competition, student participants from several schools of Lucknow displayed their sporting talent, technique and agility in various events and won applause from the audience. Students from nearly 40 schools of Lucknow, including Seth M.R. Jaipuria School, Millennium School, Delhi Public School, St Francis College, SKD Academy, Montfort school, St Fidelis College, La Martiniere College, Study Hall, G.D. Goenka School, Central School and various campuses of CMS participated in various events of the competition today. On the first day of the competition, events for students of classes 1 to 4 were held, in which the talent of the students in both boys and girls categories in adjustable race, cards race and inline race was worth watching. The winning students were honored with medals and citations after the events of the day.
