Success Story: “The secret of life is to fall seven times and to get up eight times,” this quote by Brazilian novelist Paulo Coelho perfectly narrates the success story of Hritwik Haldar, who has become an example for young people today who give up after one or two failures. Hritwik studied at a government school and faced several difficulties during his childhood, but rather than giving up, he kept moving forward. Let’s know about Hritwik Haldar.
Who Is Hritwik Haldar?
Hritwik hails from West Bengal and received his early education in a Bengali-medium government school. He was not a bright student during his childhood and did not enjoy studying. But he changed his method of studying when he reached Class 10. Haldar started focusing on understanding the subject instead of rote learning and eventually started taking an interest in studies.
Hrithik’s revised study approach yielded significant improvement, resulting in a 93.4% score on his high school exams. Despite prior setbacks from unsuccessful attempts at competitive exams such as the JEE, JEE Advanced, NEET, and KVPY, he persevered.
After completing his secondary education, he continued his studies at Ramakrishna Mission School in Belur. Despite not qualifying for the KVPY SB exam a second time, he achieved a top-10 ranking in the SC category, securing admission to the highly ranked IISER Pune, a leading institution in India.
From Government School To World’s Top Institute
Hrithik, a former student of a government school, achieved a 9.1 GPA at the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Pune. This academic success led to his acceptance into the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), a globally renowned institution ranked 13th in the QS World University Rankings.
