NEET Bulletin (New Delhi, Desk): The doctors in Gujarat who have been working hard for more than 2 months for Covid patients in Covid wards. The state government has requested the Medical Council of India (MCI) to postpone the exams for final year students.
The state government for the benefit of students have decided to consider this Covid duty as the part of their medical internship which is a compulsory part of their course.
Many doctors do not do this internship and skip it by redeeming their 30 Lakh bond which is signed by the students, but the state government has now given them relaxation.
The resident doctors are consistently treating the Covid patients and have faced major difficulties during their duties. Considering all these situations the students of Gujarat have requested the central authority to postpone their exams and give them sometime.
Dr Pinkesh Damor president said that during this critical time examinations would not be possible and have demanded that this Covid duty of residents should be counted as part of their internship.
