Lucknow, November 6: The second day of Macfair International-2022, an International Science and Computer Festival, organized by City Montessori School, Mahanagar Campus at CMS Kanpur Road auditorium, was full of exciting competitions in which students of India and abroad displayed their all-round skills. Their uniqueness yet similarity created an atmosphere of world unity, love, and brotherhood in the hall. Multiple talents of participating students in Science Quiz, Debates, Scientist Character Speak, Rhetoric Extempore, MacOration (Teaching module), Science Quiz, and Science Fiction competitions were exemplary. It may be noted that Macfair International-2022 is being organized from 5 to 8 November with approximately 500 students participating.
The second day of Macfair International began with the final round of the Science Quiz Contest. The top 10 teams, comprising two contestants in each team, who qualified for the preliminary round took the final round, well conducted by Ms Aparajita Tripathy. Questions ranged from Science and technology to general knowledge, aptly and quickly answered by the budding science geniuses leaving the spectators amazed. The debate also kept the audience engaged as the participants from India and abroad strongly expressed their views on the topic ‘Artificial Intelligence – Boon or Bane’ while speaking for and against the motion. The judges of the debate were very impressed with the innovative and analytical ideas of the participants. Another exciting ‘Scientist Character Speak’ contest held today allowed the students to dress up as scientists and enact their parts as they made their discoveries. The competition was enlightening and enjoyable testing the creativity and knowledge of students. It also helped in creating a scientific temper among students. Similarly, the talents of participants were worth watching in the selection round of the Science Quiz, Rhetoric Extempore, and Mac Oration (Teaching module) competitions. The Science Fiction Writing competition also concluded today.
A beautiful Cultural Evening was the perfect end of the second day’s activities of Macfair International-2022. Students from India and abroad presented their dances and songs delighting the audience.
Mr Hari Om Sharma, Chief Public Relations Officer of CMS, informed that the competitions at Macfair International-2022 will continue tomorrow on Monday, 7 November. Tomorrow’s competitions included the final round of Maths Quiz, MacOration (Teaching module), Model Display, Sound of Music (Jingles), Group Discussion, Science Olympiad, etc.
