NEET Bulletin (Bureau, New Delhi): NEET, JEE Main 2020 will not be postponed. Dismantling the expectations of thousands of students, the Secretary of the Ministry of Education, Amit Khare, has confirmed that the NEET and JEE entrance examinations cannot be postponed. Supreme Court clearly said that the NEET and JEE exam can not be postponed. National Testing Agency also released the notice that the examination can not be posponed. NTA has also clarified that the examination centers for students were changed as requested and further requests were also being met. Apart from this, detailed precautions have also been taken to protect the students.

The petition to postpone the examinations of JEE and NEET 2020 was presented in the Supreme Court, but the Supreme Court had rejected the petition for postponement of the examinations, noting that the examination cannot be postponed indefinitely.

Dr. Subramanian Swamy wrote to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, asking him to postpone the NEET, JEE Main 2020 examinations to the Ministry of Education. In the letter, the Union Minister states that the Supreme Court’s decision is not binding on the government. He already tweeted his intentions after students approached him and asked for help to postpone NEET, JEE Main 2020. He has urged that the examination be postponed till after Diwali.

Meanwhile, the Supreme Court dismissed the petition and the NTA issued the admit card for the JEE Main 2020 exam. The NTA has also issued a notice confirming that the NEET Admit Card will also be issued soon on ntaneet.nic.in.
