NEET MDS Counselling 2021 – Round 2

According to the latest updates, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has begun the second round of counseling for admission to MDS courses starting today, 7 October 2021. Candidates who passed the medical entrance test can apply in the process for Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) admissions on mcc.nic.in until the 7th of October. It is expected that the NEET MDS 2021 counseling takes place in 2 rounds. Candidates need to have an email address that is valid and a mobile number to sign up for NEET MDS 2021 counseling. Only new registrations are allowed for round 2. NEET MDS counseling round 2 is exclusively for those who were not yet registered for round 1. Round 1 was for those who have not registered. Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has launched round two of the national eligibility cumulative entrance Exam for MDS Counselling (NEET MDS 2021). Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria are encouraged to go to the official website on mcc.nic.in to complete round 2 application for NEET Counselling for MDS. In round 2 only registrations made by new applicants are allowed i.e. those who didn’t register for round 1. Candidates who had registered before round 1 but weren’t given a spot or weren’t reported in round 1 won’t be allowed to register for round 2.

Steps For Registration:

  • First, go to the official website: mcc.nic.in
  • Next, go to the homepage, select “PG Dental Counselling”
  • Then, select “New registration” and then complete the registration.
  • The next step is to be provided with their login details.
  • Candidates will need to fill in the data required in the registration form with care. 
  • The second last step is to pay online the registration fee using a debit/ credit card or online banking.
  • The step is that candidates are recommended to download the registration form and print it out to keep for future reference.

After NEET MDS counseling 2021 Registration:

After the second round for NEET MDS-2021 application, candidates have to choose the colleges and specialties in which they would like to enroll. Admission to 50 percent All India Quota seats, Deemed Universities, Central Universities, Armed Forces Medical Services as well as ESIC institutions will be made by weighing the number of places that are filled, the number of seats available, the rank of NEET MDS, eligibility criteria for reservation and other aspects. Candidates can make as many choices as they want from across the country, and may even apply for particular areas they prefer. NEED MDS is an eligibility-cum-ranking examination. Any other entrance test that is administered at the institutional or state level, can be used to gain admission into MDS courses. The scores from NEET MDS are accepted by a majority of the most prestigious dental colleges in India. Different state exam boards recognize NEET MDS scores for admission to various courses in dentistry that are offered by institutions in the state.

Conclusion:

NEET MDS modified cutoff to be decided by the Central Government in consultation with the Dental Council of India if there are still vacant seats within these Medical Dental Colleges after the ongoing counseling process. In the previous year the cutoff for 2018, was cut down by 29.735th percentile for each class.
