The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has delayed the exam date to the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for MDS (NEET MDS) 2022. The test will be held on the 4th of June. In the past, it was scheduled for the 19th of December. The dates for the exam are being updated to accommodate this exam. In the official announcement released through NBE on the 21st of October 2021, the test was moved back to the date due to the delayed admissions process in the year 2021-22. The admissions process for the 2021-22 academic year has not been finalized yet. As a result, NEET MDS Exam 2022 for the academic period 2022-23 has been delayed. NEET MDS Exams are designed to allow candidates to MDS courses as per the Dentist Act, 1948. With the exception of NEET MDS, any other test can be considered valid for the admission of students to MDS courses.

The NEET MDS:

According to the notice, ” In view of the admission for the academic session 2021-22 being delayed and yet to be completed, the conduct of NEET MDS 2022 for admissions to academic session 2022-23 has been deferred. The NEET-MDS 2022 has now tentatively been scheduled for June 4, 2022.”

NEET MDS is an exam that takes place online. NEET MDS is an online computer-based test. The total number of colleges taking part in this test is 274. The test will comprise 240 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) that will be tested in the exam that will be administered in one session. Doctors filed a plea with the Supreme Court regarding the delay in the publication of the schedule of counseling. The Supreme Court had issued a notice regarding the plea and counseling schedules were made public.

The center informed the supreme court that the counseling process was delayed because of the clarification that was requested by the highest court concerning OBC reserve for All India Quota (AIQ) seats, which are provided by state medical colleges in the AIQ scheme. This year, counseling will be conducted in accordance with the existing reservation rules as the Supreme Court was told.
