The story surrounding NEET 2021’s medical entrance exam continues to get unclear, and a brand new petition was filed with an apex court to cancel the exam. In the wake of allegations of leaks from paper or cheating on the test, a complaint is being filed with the Supreme Court seeking cancellation of the NEET-UG medical entrance exam that was conducted on 12th September 2021. The petition submitted to the court requests an end to the entrance exam that was conducted in the name of NTA at the beginning of September. The petition is seeking instructions from the court to conduct a fresh test. The petition was brought before the court on account of the alleged leak of paper that was discovered after the test.
The Delay in NEET 2021 Result and chances of cancellation of NEET:
Since the medical entrance exam is getting relegated to the judiciary’s jurisdiction, the announcement results of NEET-UG 2021 Results are likely to be delayed once more. The petition has been presented to the apex court by a variety of aspirants, requesting an examination retake as the previous exam was possibly leaked. The petition claims that initial investigations have proven that the entrance test was ‘inexplicably contaminated due to the use of fraudulent methods. Thus, in the best interest of legitimate and deserving candidates, a new exam is demanded. The petition also requests NTA in response to the same request asking NTA to address the issue that the exam was cancelled.
With the latest developments regarding NEET 2021 Exam, the main question that’s in every medical student’s head is that it likely be the NEET 2021 Examination to be removed? Simply put, at the moment it’s still too early to declare anything to be in line with the norms. The petition had been filed in the last few days and is expected to be heard by the bench of the Supreme Court. If the SC court decides to reject it, it would not affect the examination or NEET Results 2021.
SC bench decides to take the plea and examine its merits, and it will make NEET 2021 examination sub to judicial review or legal consideration, and hence is not open to a discussion elsewhere. This could delay the announcement of NEET 2021’s result. At the time of the court deliberations, NTA will present its argument and if it is capable of presenting ‘irrevocable evidence which proves that the integrity of the exam was not compromised and that the cheating incidents were separate incidents, the test will not be canceled. In contrast, if NTA does not do this then the SC may decide to call off the test based on evidence provided by CBI and state police authorities.
