The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2021 counseling is likely to commence in the near future. It is expected to begin soon. National Testing Agency (NTA), in its latest announcement, stated that the agency had provided an All India Ranking (AIR) to every one of the candidates. The state and central NEET counseling authorities will create a merit list that is based on the rank of colleges that fall under their jurisdiction for admission to the MBBS/BDS course. In the coming weeks, the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2021 exam is expected to commence shortly. It is reported that the National Testing Agency (NTA) in its latest announcement announced that it has issued an All India Rank (AIR) to all candidates.
The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2021: The official statement says, “NTA has provided AIR to the candidates and the admitting Authorities will draw a merit list based on AIR for the seats of MBBS/BDS under their jurisdiction. When candidates apply to their State, they will mention their category as per State Category List. State Counselling Authorities will accordingly make their Merit List. The same is the case with the domicile. The NTA has no role in it and no change in any data will be made by the NTA.”
Candidates who have passed the counseling rounds must finish the formalities with the relevant authorities for counseling which is DGHS and medical education directorates of states etc. “The details and schedule of counseling would be available on the websites of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Medical Education Directorates of States as applicable.”
It was reported that the NTA held its NEET 2021 on September 12 and released the results on the 1st of November based on the criteria for qualifying prescribed by the National Medical Commission (NMC) as well as the information provided by applicants on an online form to apply. The All India merit list has been made in percentiles on the basis of the highest scores obtained during the NEET 2021 exam for admission into BDS/MBBS courses, the notice was added. This Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will conduct the NEET 2021 counseling for applicants seeking admission to the government-run medical and dental schools with a minimum of 15 percent All India Quota (AIQ) seats as well as 100 percent seats in central universities, ESIC/AFMS institutions, AIIMS as well as JIPMER. NEET 2021 counseling date and timetable will soon be announced on mcc.nic.in.
Conclusion: In the course of NEET 2021’s counseling eligibility criteria such as self-declaration, other documents, etc of qualified candidates will be checked according to the requirements of the respective authorities or the dental or medical colleges. “NTA does not have any responsibility towards the correctness/genuinity of the uploaded information/documents during the application process,” the notice added.
