NEET Bulletin (New Delhi, Desk): Recently a decision has been passed by MCI that only the SC and ST People are qualified to reservation in the AIQ- All India Quota till the supreme court modified the procedure.

Moreover the other backward class people cannot profess the reservation under this quota. The AIQ in the Supreme Government took birth during the verdict in Dr Pradeep Jain vs Union of India announced on 22nd June 1984.
In the year 2009 the top court modified its scheme and approved reservation for SCs/STs

The major thing is OBC Section is not being provided with the reservations and that way that the total reservations should not increase 50% Tamil Nadu provided reservations at the rate of 50% for OBCS, 18% for SCs and 1% for STs in accordance with their population in the State. The Centre’s 27% rule for OBCs and 50% cap on overall reservations could be applied only to AIQ seats in central institutions and not to those in non-central institutes.Mr Wilson Argued.

Fair justification should be provided to backward class people When Centre itself grants over 50% how can it impose a cap of 50% on AIQ seats in State government colleges? Asked Mr Wilson
