Lucknow, June 3 : City Montessori School, Rajajipuram Campus I is organizing the 6th International Yoda Day virtually on 21st June. Mayor of Lucknow, Mrs Sanyukta Bhatia will be the Chief Guest of the virtual ceremony. On this occasion, under the guidance of Yoga Guru Shri Ashok Kewlani, various yogasanas and yogic exercises will be practiced. CMS Founder and renowned educationist, Dr Jagdish Gandhi; CMS Director, Dr Bharti Gandhi; Principal of CMS Rajajipuram Campus I, Mrs Nisha Pandey; Principals of all other CMS Campuses and other dignitaries will grace this occasion and spread the message of health through yoga. Mr Sharma added that at this International Yoga Day celebration, students of various schools of Lucknow will demonstrate their physical proficiency through line presentation of yogasana and yogic exercises besides taking the cultural heritage of the country to all corners of the world.
Mr Sharma informed that to mark International Yoga Day, Yoga contests will be held online in three categories. In Group A, senior students aged 14 to 17 years, will perform Virbhadrasana, Chakra Bandhasana, Vibhakta Paschimottanasana, Purna Supta Vajrasana, Padam Sarvangasana, Purna Bhujangasana, Padangushth Dhanurasana etc. In Group-B, junior students aged 11 to 14 years, will perform Garudasana, Parsvakonasana, Bakasana, Purna Supta Vajrasana, Eka Pada Chakrasana, Yoga Nidrasana, Matsyasana, Dhanurasana etc. Similarly, in Group C, primary / sub-junior students aged 7 to 11 years, will perform Trikonasana, Padahastasana, Ushtrasana, Garbhasana, Eka Pada Sikandhasana, Chakrasana, Sarvangasana, Dhanurasana etc. Each team will comprise 10 students having 6 minutes to perform 5 yogik asanas.
