Now the way for medical studies has been cleared in three medical colleges of Jharkhand, Dumka, Palamu and Hazaribagh. The state government has got a big success in this long pending case. This was announced on Wednesday by State Health Minister Banna Gupta at the inauguration ceremony of the Jharkhand State Medical Board building and website.
Admission will be done on 100 seats:
It is worth noting that now admission will be held in 100-100 MBBS seats in these three medical colleges. Dumka, Hazaribagh and Palamu Medical Colleges had admission for the first time in 100-100 seats in 2019-20. However, citing paucity of resources, the National Medical Council had barred enrollment in these colleges. After getting permission for admission in all the three new medical colleges, now the number of state government-run medical colleges in the state has increased to 6. Medical education is already being done in RIMS (Ranchi), PMCH (Dhanbad) and MGM (Jamshedpur).
Big success for the state: Banna Gupta:
Health Minister Banna Gupta said on this occasion that this is a great news for the state. I had repeatedly urged the Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya ji to think about the future of the children of the state. The government will ensure better educational system in these medical colleges. We are determined to ensure that adequate resources are arranged. On one hand we are bridging the resources. On the other hand, there is no shortage of teachers, so that professors and associate professors are being appointed on contract.
It is worth noting that last time the permission for admission in these medical colleges was canceled citing less resources, but Health Minister Banna Gupta continued the initiative and on one hand improved the basic facilities. At the same time, there was constant pressure on the central government to get admission.
