A grand and purpose-driven Financial Literacy Program was organized for undergraduate and postgraduate girl students at Ras Bihari Bose Subharti University, Dehradun. The program was jointly conducted by the All India Consumer and Welfare Trust in collaboration with Mirae Asset Mutual Fund.

The program was coordinated under the guidance of the Trust’s Secretary General, Dr. Sanjay Agrawal, and Mr. Sumit Chaudhary, Regional Manager, Mirae Asset Mutual Fund. The event was held under the patronage of the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Himanshu Aeran. During the valedictory session, the Pro–Vice Chancellor Dr. Desh Deepak and Registrar Mr. Khalid Hasan, along with the Vice-Chancellor, jointly welcomed and felicitated the program coordinators and speakers.
The central theme of the program focused on financial literacy and women empowerment. Dr. Sanjay Agrawal emphasized the importance of consumer awareness, financial discipline, and responsible economic behavior. Mr. Sumit Chaudhary shared practical insights on mutual funds, investment planning, risk management, and long-term wealth creation.

In his inspirational address, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Himanshu Airan stated that women inherently possess a strong inclination toward saving, which forms the backbone of family and socio-economic stability. When this natural tendency is supported by scientific financial education and sound investment knowledge, women not only become self-reliant but also play a decisive role in the nation’s economic progress.
The primary objective of the program was to make girl students financially aware, develop an understanding of structured financial planning, and empower them to take confident economic decisions. The enthusiastic participation of the students made the program highly successful and meaningful.

The event witnessed the esteemed presence of several academic and administrative officials of the university. On this occasion, Dr. Saloni Garg, Ms. Nitika Kaushal, Mr. Nitin Arya, Ms. Vanshika Kala, and Mr. Sheel Shukla graced the program, further enhancing its academic strength and dignity.
