Sufi Musical Night’ on 18 February to Be a Special Attraction

Under the aegis of Subharti Mahotsav 2026, Ras Bihari Bose Subharti University witnessed a vibrant and energetic day filled with literary, sports, and creative competitions. The campus resonated with enthusiasm, discipline, and healthy competition among students from early morning.

The Mini Marathon, organized in the morning session, was conducted with a meaningful social message. The theme of the marathon was “Drug-Free India — Adopt Healthy Eating, Live a Healthy Life.” The initiative aimed to create awareness among youth about the importance of a drug-free lifestyle and to inspire them to embrace balanced nutrition and overall well-being.

The marathon was flagged off by the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Himanshu Aeran. He was joined by Pro-Vice-Chancellor and Organizing Chairman Dr. Desh Deepak, Administrative Officer Dr. Ravindra Pratap Singh, and local police officer Mr. P.S. Negi. The dignitaries encouraged the participants and emphasized the significance of discipline, fitness, and a healthy way of life. Students participated wholeheartedly, demonstrating remarkable sportsmanship and enthusiasm throughout the event.

In the boys’ category, Aman Dhiman B.Pharm First Year, Tausim BMLT Second Year, and Sujit Kumar GNM First Year delivered impressive performances. In the girls’ category, Nandini Bisht BOPT First Year, Anjali Yadav MPT Second Year, and Labsang Roma B.Sc. Nursing Third Year stood out with their outstanding achievements.

The literary competitions also showcased the intellectual depth and expressive skills of the students. In the debate competition, Anshuman, Kiyan, and Simran impressed the judges with their logical and articulate arguments. In slogan writing, Sneha Mittal BFA First Year and Pawan Deep BNYS Fourth Year were appreciated for their creative ideas, while Khushi Sharma earned special recognition for her impactful expression. In the extempore competition, Kiran Kuniyal and Asif captivated the audience with their confident speeches, and the joint presentation by Uttam Kumar and Gunjan received thunderous applause.

Creative events such as face painting, Indian folk art, mehendi, DIY craft, and wall graffiti highlighted the artistic talents of the participants. The College of Fine Arts and the Multipurpose Hall remained hubs of vibrant activity throughout the day.

Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Himanshu Aeran stated that such events play a vital role in the holistic development of students. He added that the Mahotsav reflects the nationalist vision, progressive outlook, and modern educational philosophy of the Founder Chairman of the Subharti Group, Dr. Atul Krishna. Under his guidance, the Subharti Group continues to integrate education with nation-building, cultural preservation, and technological advancement.

‘Subharti Mahotsav 2026’ stands as a confluence of sports, literature, and art — symbolizing national strength, intellectual enrichment, and cultural consciousness.

As part of the Mahotsav, the much-awaited ‘Sufi Musical Night’ scheduled for 18 February at 7:00 PM will be a major highlight. International artists Sanawar Ali Khan and Mohammad Shahrukh will enthrall the audience with their soulful Sufi performances on the main stage. The evening is expected to be a memorable experience for the university community as well as the residents of the city.

Blending knowledge, culture, sports, and progressive thinking, Subharti Mahotsav 2026 will continue in the coming days with a fashion show, cultural performances, and a grand prize distribution ceremony, adding further color and vibrancy to the celebrations.
