Prof. Dr. Himanshu Aeran’s Inspiring Address, Students Shined with Talent

Dr. Mukti Bhatnagar Subharti School of Fine Arts and Fashion Design, Ras Bihari Bose Subharti University, Dehradun, showcased its creative and academic brilliance through active participation in the Shri Ram Rashtriya Sanghoshthi and Shri Ram Rashtriya Kala Pradarshani. The grand event was organized under the joint aegis of Snehil and the Indian Council of Social Science

Research (ICSSR) from September 19–24 at M.K.P. P.G. College.
The conference witnessed the presence of several distinguished guests, including Hon’ble Education Minister Shri Dhan Singh Rawat, Shri Khajan Das, Dr. Farooq, Shri Bharat Bhandari, Dr. Alok Bhavasar (renowned artist from Bhopal), and Dr. Vinita Dahiya, while the program was presided over by Chief Development Officer of Dehradun, Shri Abhinav Shah (IAS). The event also brought together eminent artists and scholars from across the country to celebrate Indian art and culture.
On this occasion, Vice Chancellor of Ras Bihari Bose Subharti University, Prof. Dr. Himanshu Aeran, graced the event as Guest of Honour and Keynote Speaker. In his inspiring address, he stated:

“Indian art and culture are not merely symbols of beauty; they embody our identity, our soul, and the foundation of our spiritual strength. The ideals enshrined in the Ramcharitmanas continue to hold the power to guide society even today. The mission of Subharti University is to connect the younger generation with Indian culture through education and the arts, and to uphold the dignity of our traditions on a global platform.”
His words ignited enthusiasm among the scholars, artists, and students present at the conference.
Dean of Fine Arts, Dr. Rita Tiwari, was an invited artist at the event. She showcased her creativity at the art exhibition, delivered a keynote lecture at the seminar, and also served as an active member of the organizing committee. In her speech, she remarked:
“The roots of Indian art are deeply embedded in our culture. Events like these not only provide a platform to artists and students but also offer opportunities to imbibe the values of Indian ethos.”
University students Kartik Agrawal, Vanshika Badola, Shubham Dungriyal, Aman Bisht, Kajal Prajapati, and Nandini Negi participated in the National Art Exhibition, winning accolades for their talent. Among them, Aman Bisht secured the First Prize, while Kartik Agrawal received a Consolation Award.

A special book was also released on the occasion, featuring research papers by Dr. Rita Tiwari and Kajal Prajapati. Faculty member Ms. Pratishtha Bhandari and research scholars Archana Rani and Shrishti Shahi also presented their research papers.
The Department of Performing Arts staged a mesmerizing dance-drama titled “Sita Swayamvar,” based on Tulsidas’s Ramcharitmanas, directed and choreographed by Mr. Ayush Kumar. The breathtaking performance left the audience deeply moved.
During the event, Mr. Santosh Sahni was honored with the Snehil Kala Nidhi Samman 2025 for his outstanding contributions to the field of art.
