The 76th Republic Day was celebrated at Rash Bihari Bose Subharti University with great dignity, national pride, and cultural enthusiasm. The university campus resonated with the spirit of patriotism, national consciousness, and constitutional awareness.


The ceremony witnessed the gracious presence of senior university officials, including Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Himanshu Aeran, Director General Major General G. K. Thapliyal, Pro Vice-Chancellors Dr. Desh Deepak and Dr. P. K. Sharma, Administrative Officer Dr. Ravindra Pratap, Registrar Mr. Khalid Hasan, Director of Lokpriy Hospital Dr. Jeevan Asha, Dr. Lokesh Tyagi, along with Dean Academics Manmohan Gupta, Neetika Kaushal, Vinay Semwal, deans, heads of departments, faculty members, and staff.


The program commenced with the Saraswati Vandana, followed by the hoisting of the national flag by Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Himanshu Aeran. As the Tricolour unfurled, the campus echoed with spirited chants of “Jai Hind.”
In his address, Pro Vice-Chancellor Dr. Desh Deepak elaborated on the concepts of the Republic and Democracy, clearly explaining their differences and complementary nature. He emphasized that a strong democracy forms the foundation of a robust republic.
Director General Major General G. K. Thapliyal, in his inspiring speech, highlighted the importance of Fundamental Duties alongside Fundamental Rights, urging everyone to be equally vigilant and committed to their duties as citizens.


Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Himanshu Aeran, in a powerful and thought-provoking address, cautioned against global forces aiming to weaken India economically. He underscored the urgent need to adopt indigenous products, strengthen domestic industries, and promote homegrown technologies. He also spoke about the “Rashtrabodh” (National Consciousness) curriculum developed under the New Education Policy by the university’s Founder Chairman Dr. Atul Krishna, and appealed to students, teachers, and officials to emotionally connect with the university’s core values of nationalism and actively participate in all national programs.
The cultural segment featured patriotic performances by students from various departments. A moving presentation depicted the pain of the Pahalgam incident and India’s decisive response through Operation Sindoor, leaving the audience deeply emotional.


A soulful rendition of

by Shah Rukh, faculty member from the Performing Arts Department, stirred profound emotions, while an energetic and impactful speech by Shani Mishra, a student of the Pharmacy Department, filled the audience with enthusiasm and patriotic fervor.


The program was efficiently and gracefully conducted by Dr. Manju Jethi and Ms. Midhat Aslam. The celebration concluded with the collective singing of the patriotic song
“Dil Diya Hai, Jaan Bhi Denge, Ae Watan Tere Liye”.
Sweets were distributed to all attendees as prasadam.
This Republic Day celebration was not merely a ceremonial event, but a powerful reminder that rekindled a sense of duty, awareness, and renewed resolve towards the nation.
