Lucknow, June 7 : Students from City Montessori School, Aliganj Campus I, brought laurels to the city of Lucknow with their scintillating performance at the Singapore & Asian Schools Math Olympiad (SASMO) 2021. Among these students, Alishba Sadiq has earned a silver medal while Daksha Bhatnagar and Kavya Upreti have earned a bronze medal each. The other high-achieving students from the Aliganj Campus who have excelled with their mathematical skills are Manasvi Kushvaha (18th Rank in India), Anavi Mishra (32nd Rank in India), Shantanu Mishra (33rd Rank in India), Gauri Singh (35th Rank in India), and Mahi Singh (39th Rank in India). Chief Public Relations Officer of CMS, Mr Hari Om Sharma informed that a total of 26 countries and territories participated in SASMO this year, including the host nation Singapore. The Singapore International Science Challenge (SISC) is a biennial international event that brings together gifted students of age 15 to 18 from around the world to compete, collaborate and innovate in the field of Mathematics and Sciences. With realistic and high standards, SASMO contests aim to stretch the untapped thinking potential of the students and their participation in SASMO helps them improve in school mathematics as well as Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS)
Mr Sharma said that recognizing the importance of scientific age, CMS endeavours to develop scientific and global outlook in students which helps CMS students in excelling in national and international contests. CMS organizes various competitions in different subjects throughout the year to chisel the skills of students and provide them opportunity to explore their talents on a global platform. These events provide an international arena to the students and instil self-confidence in them. As a result, the talented and skilled students of CMS are achieving new heights of success at all fronts.
