CMS Anand Nagar organizes Mini Marathon on the occasion of National Sports Day

Lucknow, August 30 : To celebrate the birthday of Major Dhyanchand and National Sports Day, City Montessori School, Anand Nagar campus organized a ‘Mini Marathon’ wherein students of primary, junior and senior sections along with their parents participated with great enthusiasm. The mini marathon of 2km and 3 km respectively for students and parents began from Homeguards circle at Anand Nagar and culminated at the same place after passing through VIP road and eco-garden. Earlier, international weightlifter and Commonwealth Bronze Medal winner, Ms Swati Singh and Principal of CMS Anand Nagar Campus, Ms Reena Soti flagged off the mini-marathon. The Chief Guest, Ms Swati Singh also awarded the winners and runners-up after the race. Archit won the first prize in the primary boys category while Dalveer Kaur won the first prize in the girls category. Honey Singh won first prize in junior boys category while Ismita Maurya secured first place in the girls gategory. Shreyas Gupta was declared the winner in the senior boys category and Shubhi Trivedi won the first prize in the girls category. Among the parents, Mr Vinod Kumar Yadav secure the first place in mens category while Mrs Laxmi won the first prize in women’s category.
