Students Gain Insights into Stress Management and the Mindset for Success

At *Ras Bihari Bose Subharti University, the fifth session of the lecture series under the mandatory value-added course *Rashtriya Bodh was successfully organised on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at the university’s main campus. The programme was held at the *Samrat Lalitaditya Auditorium*, Lala Bahadur Shastri lokpriy Hospital, and Lecture Theatre. This session was a continuation of the introductory and inaugural programme that began on December 23, 2025.

The programme commenced with stage conductors Midat Aslam and Sachin Shrinarayan, who highlighted the contemporary relevance of Rashtriya Bodh. They emphasised that the university is committed not only to academic instruction but also to shaping thoughtful, responsible citizens with a strong sense of social duty.

Thereafter, the Vice-Chancellor *Dr. Himanshu Aeran* and Head of the Department of Culture *Dr. Rajesh Tiwari* formally felicitated the invited speakers—renowned psychiatrist *Dr. Sumedha Tiwari* and noted Bollywood film director *Dr. Satyanshu*—by presenting them with mementoes and saplings.

On this occasion, Vice-Chancellor Dr. Himanshu Aeran delivered a thought-provoking message, stating that the objective of education should not be confined merely to employment. Programmes like Rashtriya Bodh, he said, help students develop the right mindset, direction, and a sense of responsibility towards society—efforts that ultimately lay the foundation of a strong and aware nation.

In the main session, Dr. Sumedha Tiwari addressed students on the theme of stress management. She noted that mental pressure is natural in today’s competitive environment, but recognising stress in time and adopting a balanced lifestyle are crucial. She emphasised regular routines, positive thinking, time management, and self-reflection as effective tools to cope with stress, adding that mentally healthy youth are essential for building a strong society and nation.

Sharing his experiences on the theme of success, Dr. Satyanshu remarked that success is never achieved overnight; it is the result of consistent effort, patience, and self-belief. He encouraged students to view failures as learning opportunities and stressed that honesty towards one’s goals and clarity of thought illuminate the path forward.

During the programme, the core philosophy of the Rashtriya Bodh curriculum—designed by *Dr. Atul Krishna*—was also presented to students. It was explained that the course aims to strengthen responsibility towards the nation, social understanding, cultural rootedness, and constitutional values, enabling students to grow not only academically but also as aware and sensitive citizens.

In the second phase, university faculty members *Dr. Sandeep Dhyani, **Dr. Anjali Pandey, and **Dr. Kavita Nainwal* delivered lectures on various aspects of the Rashtriya Bodh course, explaining concepts through practical, everyday examples.

Student participation remained notably high throughout the lectures. During the interactive question-and-answer session, students openly shared their thoughts and experiences, describing the programme as inspiring and eye-opening. Many noted that it helped them better understand stress management and approach success with a healthier, more realistic perspective.

The programme concluded with the collective singing of Azad Hind Gaan, in keeping with Subharti tradition, led by Assistant Professor *Raman Krishna Kimothi* from the Department of Culture.

Among those present were Sanskrit Department Secretary *Vinay Semwal, Dean Academics **Manmohan Gupta, NSS Officer **Pradeep Mahara*, Assistant Professor Midat Aslam, along with deans, heads of departments, institute heads, faculty members, and a large number of students.

Overall, lecture series like Rashtriya Bodh are playing a vital role in taking students beyond textbooks—guiding them towards effective stress management, a mature understanding of success, and the values of responsible citizenship.
