nEW DELHI: After the declaration of Common University Entrance Test (CUET) results, students are in apprehension whether they can secure their seat in the prestigious University of Delhi after more than 20,000 students secured 100 percentile in the exam. Competition gets tough.
This year, instead of absolute score in CBSE, percentile in CUET will be taken into consideration. Up to 20,000 students completed CUET with full marks.
The subjects in which students scored a full hundred in this way – 8,236 for English, followed by 2,065 for Political Science and 1,065 (1,669) for Business Studies, Economics (1,188), Psychology (1,188), and Biology ( 1,324). Students raised questions on the high cut-offs for enrollment in reputed universities and programs affiliated to the university.
“I don’t think it will make the competition tougher, it’s a new entry process and there are a lot of permutations and combinations that will come into the entry processSo it is too early to say,” a senior Delhi University official said.
Meanwhile, DU announced the undergraduate admission schedule. Phase I of Common Seat Allotment System 2022 started on September 12, 2022 ,Both Phase I and Phase II of CSAS (UG) 2022 will remain open till Monday. , 10 October 2022.
The official said the university will open a ‘preference-filing’ phase in the coming days. “After the closure of the preference-filling phase, the university will issue a mock list of provisional allotments based on the CSAS 2022 allocation policy.
