Medical Education Forgery: Admission of Indian Students in an Unapproved Medical Institute of Ukraine

NEET Bulletin(New Delhi, Desk): A city based academy of Madurai, that helps students in getting admissions in the medical colleges of various countries has been found to provide admission to the unapproved medical institute of Ukraine. CEO of the Nest Abroad Studies Academy, Mr. M Barathimohan, was booked along with his assistant colleagues who are running the hostel in Ukraine.

This is a case of a education fraud that has once again brought issue of how the Indian students are trapped for money by luring them into false promises of providing best medical education in the country. City police has booked them on chargest of forgery and cheating based on the complaint from T Seenivasan, 53, from Melur. He stated that he approached Barathimohan in 2016 for his son’s admission and in installments he had paid around 22 Lakhs towards various charges like passport, institution and hostel fees etc. However, when the student completed 3 years of his education, it was found that institute is not approved by the Medical Council of India.
