LLRM hospital, Meerut gets nod to conduct coronavirus test

NEET Bulletin (New Delhi, Desk): The Lala Lajpat Rai Memorial (LLRM) Medical College in Meerut received a nod from the Indian Council for Medical Research (ICMR) on Thursday to conduct coronavirus tests here.

Currently, all suspected samples of coronavirus of Meerut are being sent to Delhi’s National Centre for Disease Control. However, if the testing begins here, not only the time taken for the tests will reduce, it will also mean that more people can be tested.

Welcoming the move, LLRM Medical College principal Dr RC Gupta said, “The staff’s time which went in packing the samples and sending them to Delhi can now be used in testing the samples here itself, thus increasing the efficiency.”
